Adelmarie is originally from Puerto Rico. She grew up bathed by the tropical waters of the Caribbean surrounded by sugar cane, palm trees, fresh fish and the sound of bongos and trumpets.
Her mother and her aunt taught her to dance since her early years. For her, dance means happiness, healthiness, joy and love. Every step she made irradiated her cultural roots.
Zumba for her is an opportunity to express her passion of dance by composing a combination of fun moves to create a total body workout that the attendees will enjoy! Her Latin roots as well as her vibrant personality and view of life will make all her attendees feel a celebration of life and love in every class! Besides dancing, Adelmarie is a nature lover. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She is an activist in the Sierra Club and is passionate about traveling, cooking and extreme outdoors activities. Adelmarie currently works as an environmental analyst in a national chain of environmental laboratories and is residing in Central Florida.
