What is Oriental Medicine?
Oriental Medicine is a comprehensive medical system that stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal itself and restore optimum wellness. This medicine treats the root of an illness in order to alleviate the current problems, as well as avoid future illness. It is an organic, methodical therapy process that causes few (if any) side effects by restoring balance and the free-flow of energy (called “qi”) in the body’s meridians.
What does Oriental Medicine treat?
Most people think of “pain treatment” when they think of acupuncture. However, acupuncture is recognized by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to be effective in the treatment of over 50 conditions, including, but not limited to:
- Addiction, including smoking cessation
- Anxiety/depression
- Carpal Tunnel syndrome
- Chronic fatigue
- Chronic pain
- Digestive issues, including morning sickness
- Hormonal imbalances, including menstrual irregularities, menopause, etc.
- Infertility
- Insomnia
- Stress
What can it do?
It’s not “just” acupuncture! I can treat you with a variety of methods, depending on your needs.
- Acupuncture
- Herbal Medicine
- Auricular Acupuncture (Ear seeds)
- Moxibustion (herbal heat therapy)
- Tuina (Chinese medical massage)
- Guasha (increases blood circulation)
